Comos is offered as a strategic alliance with innotec, GmbH. It is an engineering data and document-centric database management system with the ability to integrate engineering activities during the entire plant lifecycle, from conceptual development to detailed engineering to plant maintenance. Process simulation data is transferred to Comos through a seamless integration with PRO/II®, SimSci-Esscor's industry leading process simulation system. Other Comos productivity modules are used in augmenting the simulation data and providing non-simulation engineering data for defining process and equipment specifications.
Comos provides multi-discipline engineers with a controlled, distributed, and collaborative environment to manipulate simulation data, specify non-simulation data, query data by example, and color code data status. Manual data entry can be replaced through enrichment of the Comos knowledge- base, as well as integration with SimSci-Esscor or other third-party design/sizing systems.
The process flow diagram (PFD), P&ID, material selection guide, process/mechanical equipment datasheets, electrical diagrams and other engineering documents required for the design package are generated from the Comos database. The data and document revisions are tracked effortlessly during the entire engineering lifecycle by Comos.
