The Perfect Off-Line Simulation and Testing Tool for Any I/A Series System

"Perfect Fit" I/A Connectivity
FSIM Plus functions as a double to an I/A Series Control Processor (CP), meaning that all operational and engineering applications, processes, and equipment that run with I/A Series control systems can be run in exactly the same way with FSIM Plus. FSIM Plus supports I/A Series block algorithms, including those that execute in I/A Series CPs, Device Integrators, and PLC Integrators. FSIM Plus fully incorporates I/A Series ladder logic, sequence of events (SOE), and motor drive actuator (MDACT), which all normally execute in the FBMs. FSIM Plus also accepts Foxboro control configuration downloads (Save-all's) without modification.

Signal Cross-Referencing Utilities
The standard simulation models within FSIM Plus can drive the field input and output (I/O) signals. The cross-reference (XREF) database in the FSIM Plus environment defines the exchange of I/O data between the control blocks and the process model.

Accurate Process Simulation
FSIM Plus allows a wide range of unit operation models as standard for testing, validation, and training purposes. In addition, simple models can be added through the use of ‘widgets’, transfer functions, physical mass and energy flow networks, or in any combination. These models can be saved as ‘templates’ for future use.

Simulation Command and Control
As FSIM Plus is part of SIM4ME, then command and control of the simulation allows engineers absolute command of process and control simulations. The RUN/FREEZE capability permits the user to stop/pause a testing procedure at any point in time and get a detailed, comprehensive view of the entire control system performance. In addition, the STEP capability permits the engineer to run a model forward in pre-defined time steps, enabling accurate diagnosis of equipment trips and stability issues. The SPEED capability allows the engineer to decrease or increase the simulation speed relative to real-time. The SAVE/RESTORE capability allows accurate archiving of any control system image for later use in training and/or troubleshooting.
